I have a mildly mentally disabled child that has been diagnosed with Aspergers Symdrome. I have not been able to fine a child care center afterschool that has the resources or staff to take my child. Is it normal for after-school programs that recieve funding from the state to turn away citizens because of special needs? I think there needs to be some form of effort made to serve children with disabilities in areas that are more accomadating to the needs of the family and schules and locations. It seems like we have programs for normal children everywhere but those with special needs are few and far between. Concerned Parent & Tax Payer
